My first two months as an apprentice with GMP My first two months as an apprentice with GMP

by Emma Woodhead

My name’s Emma and I’m an Administration Support Apprentice at Greater Manchester Police based in the Fraud Investigation Unit. I’m currently two months into my intermediate apprenticeship in business administration and will be writing about my apprenticeship every month in this blog.

I believe my apprenticeship is such a fantastic opportunity to develop myself and I have been involved in so many exciting things such as observing police interviews, attending warrants and so much more. My day-to-day job involves updating spreadsheets, communicating with a wide range of people and generally organising data.  I decided to start an apprenticeship rather than go to university because I didn’t think I was suited to university life.  At the end of my apprenticeship, I would like to work towards becoming a police officer. I believe that this qualification will give me the opportunity to do that!

Look out for my next blog post to see what I get up to!
