My first two months as an apprentice with Withers LLP My first two months as an apprentice with Withers LLP

by Gemma Tann

My name’s Gemma and I’m currently an Apprentice Administration Assistant at Withers LLP undertaking the advanced legal administration apprenticeship. I will be recording my month-to-month experiences of my apprenticeship in this blog and thought I would start off with a bit of an introduction.

After completing my A Levels, I was originally planning to study Law at university. However, I decided that to develop my skills and qualities beyond what education had already offered me, there was no better place to do so than at an international law firm. I have so far been involved in organising and archiving legal files, updating contact clients using a database called InterAction and scanning, photocopying and filing legal documents.

I am thoroughly enjoying my experience so far and I would highly recommend a legal apprenticeship to someone with a genuine interest in law. My overall objective is to become a Paralegal or Legal Executive through full-time work and part-time study, a prospect that seems to be within reach for the near future because of this great opportunity with Damar.

I can’t wait to see what my next month will bring. Look out for my next blog post!
