My second month as an apprentice with the Crown Prosecution Service Wakefield My second month as an apprentice with the Crown Prosecution Service Wakefield

by Lewis Kirkwood

In the last month or so I have continued learning and developing my skills. I have taken on more purchasing duties and feel confident with my progress so far. There is still much more for me to learn but I am looking forward to it.

I had two trips out of the office this month, one being a ‘Corporate Services’ event at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Birmingham along with 180 other guests to watch presentations and meet fellow CPS staff. A week later, I visited Leeds Crown Court and watched various sentencing hearings. It was very interesting and eye-opening, and has made me consider pursuing a role in the prosecution side.
