Directions
By Train:
Stockport mainline railway station is 3 minutes walk away. Cross the road at the end of the station approach and turn left. St. Petersgate is the first road on the right (Stockport Central Library is on the corner). There is a six storey building on the left hand side of this road just past the first side street, about 20 metres from the traffic lights. Damar is located on the first floor of this building. Trains run between Stockport and Manchester every few minutes. You can connect directly to the Metrolink tram system at Piccadilly station.
By Bus:
Stockport bus station is seven minutes walk from our training centre. Turn left out of the bus station and walk up the hill. When you reach St. Petersgate, turn left. Damar is 20 metres on the left, on the first floor of the six storey building.
Motorway:
Leave the M60 at Junction 1. Approaching from the west, the exit is marked Stockport West and Centre. At the motorway roundabout, take the second exit signposted Stockport Town Centre. Approaching from the east, the exit is marked Stockport West. Go right round the motorway roundabout, taking the exit signed Stockport Town Centre. At the next roundabout, take the 2nd exit (signed Stockport Town Centre). This brings you onto Heaton Lane. At the lights, turn right onto the A6 (Wellington Road South). Turn left at the second set of lights (onto Wellington Street) and at the roundabout take the first exit (onto Piccadilly). Then take the next left on to Duke Street. This merges with St.Petersgate after 40 metres. There is meter parking on the left hand side of the road in front of the Nat West Bank. Damar is located in the six storey building immediately opposite the bank, on the first floor.
From South:
From Wellington Road South (A6), turn right into Edward Street, then left onto Piccadilly. At the roundabout take the second exit, then the next left on to Duke Street. Follow rest of instructions as above.
From North:
From Wellington Road South (A6), turn left on to Wellington Street, then follow instructions as above.
Car Parks:
Mersey Way: From Piccadilly (see above) take the second turning on the right onto St Petersgate. Turn left into High Bank Side and the car park is ahead of you. This is a pay and display car park.
Stopford House (off Piccadilly): Coming from the south, turn right off Wellington Road South (A6) onto Edward Street and turn left onto Piccadilly. From the north (Manchester) turn left off Wellington Road South (A6) onto Wellington Street and take the third exit at the roundabout onto Piccadilly.
