Apprentice

Over the years Damar has worked with thousands of people, helping them:

  • Get jobs with good employers
  • Improve their workplace skills
  • Achieve nationally recognised apprenticeship and NVQ qualifications.
  • Develop their careers

Many former Damar learners now hold senior positions in their organisations.

If you are working or are looking for work in an office or customer service environment and want to develop your skills, achieve a qualification and earn a salary at the same time, an apprenticeship with Damar may be right for you.

Apprenticeships develop individuals' confidence and competence. Achieving an apprenticeship with Damar demonstrates that your work meets or exceeds the nationally recognised standard for your industry.

We know that you have a choice of training providers. If we have the opportunity to work with you, we commit to:

  • Deliver a professional, high quality service.
  • Provide you with appropriate information, advice and guidance about work-based learning.
  • Keep you informed about your progress.
  • Adapt our delivery style to suit your needs.
  • Work within the strict standards laid down by our regulators and funders.

We take great pride in the achievements of all of our apprentices. We celebrate this annually at an awards ceremony to which we invite all out learners and their supervisors. We also have mark individual achievement through the year with our "learner of the month" awards.

We value the diversity of our learner base and work to ensure that all members of the communites that we serve have equal access to the range of opportunities that are offered by apprenticeships.

The safety and wellbeing of our learners is paramount. If you should ever have a concern about your safety or that of another Damar learner, please contact either:

Maria Grimsley, Safeguarding Lead, on 07960 888 149 or email maria@damartraining.com.

Robin Lindsay, Deputy Safeguarding Lead, on 07960 815 300 or email robin@damartraining.com.

We have clear polices on equality and diversity and safeguarding learner welfare that are reviewed at least annually. These are available in our literature section and we welcome your comments.
