Qualifications
We deliver the following apprenticeship frameworks:
- Business and Administration
- Accounts (including AAT)
- Customer Service
- Management and Team Leading
- Contact Centre Operations
- Housing
In most cases, these are offered as intermediate apprenticeships and advanced apprenticeships. A intermediate apprenticeship is broadly equivalent to 5 good GCSEs. An advanced apprenticeship is the vocational equivalent of 2 A levels.
Please bear in mind that almost all apprenticeships allow us to build a qualification that is tailored to a particular job. As a result, one of our learners working for a firm of solicitors will pick different units to a learner who works for a travel company even though they are both doing an apprenticeship in business and administration.
We also offer a range of complementary qualifications, including:
- ILEX Legal Secretarial Certificate/Diploma
- CMI management qualifications
- Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) at Foundation and Intermediate level
- National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) in each of the framework areas mentioned above.
For staff with few prior qualifications, some funding may be available towards the cost of a standalone NVQ.
We have a range of one day courses which are designed to broaden the skills of our apprentices and which are offered to existing learners at a modest additional cost. This includes:
- Professional Telephone Techniques
- Self Organisation and Time Management
- Assertiveness at Work
- Negotiation Skills
- Effective Presentation Skills
- Essentials of Effective Management
- IT (eg Microsoft Excel, Word)
