Damar strengthens offer to employers with two business development appointments

Specialist apprenticeship provider Damar Training has strengthened its offer to employers with the appointment of two experienced business development executives, Rachel Comer and Lucy Holland.

Rachel joins from accountancy-training specialist Kaplan Financial where she was North-West apprenticeship co-ordinator. Lucy joins Damar from Stockport College where she has been a business development advisor.

Commenting on the appointments, Damar’s managing director Jonathan Bourne said:

“I am delighted to welcome Rachel and Lucy to Damar. In order for employers to get the most out of apprenticeships expert advice is a must and our growing employer base has shown our success in this area. Rachel and Lucy bring an extra 10 years’ experience to our team and having them on board means that we can now help more businesses recruit and train talented apprentices and upskill existing staff - cutting recruitment costs, improving retention and improving competitiveness.”

 He added:

“Apprenticeships are more flexible and responsive to employers’ needs than ever before – we help businesses recruit apprentices year round for a wide range of office-based and customer service roles. Damar’s 600+ apprentices are training as accountants, managers and paralegals as well as working in more traditional entry-level positions. In some areas, such as Greater Manchester, we can also access funding for a range of shorter courses.”
