What led you to an apprenticeship?
I decided to embark on an apprenticeship when I was in College studying Art & Design. I love art but knew it wasn’t the career path for me but more of a hobby. I saw apprenticeships being advertised everywhere online and I thought it was a really good idea to apply for some and carry on with my education. In addition to earning an income every month and gaining work experience.

Even though being an apprentice an sometimes be tough and tiring, it is totally worth it in the end and you learn to overcome the struggles.
What have you enjoyed the most about your apprenticeship?
It’s hard to say exactly what I have enjoyed about my apprenticeship as I pretty much enjoy everything. Although, receiving my certificates after my 1st year apprenticeship was definitely a happy moment!
What has been a personal highlight of your apprenticeship?
My personal highlight of my apprenticeship has been during my first year. I had been working extremely hard at work and on my apprenticeship and due to this, I was given the opportunity for a promotion. This shows working hard really pays off and I can continue to grow within the firm.
Have you got any advice for school leavers looking for the right career path?
When you leave school it is so scary as I felt I was too young to even know what type of career path I wanted to go down but I would definitely advise all school leavers to consider an apprenticeship as it is a great way to get work experience whilst building on your carerr and furthering your education. I also felt the experience opened more paths for me.
