Apprentices take first step to becoming qualified Licenced Conveyancers with Countrywide and Damar Training apprenticeship

 

In February Countrywide launched new apprentices to its CLC Conveyancing Technician apprenticeship program in its Manchester and Cardiff conveyancing centres.

This innovative program which provides apprenticeships in Conveyancing Technician and Licenced Conveyancing in partnership with Damar Training will see employees achieve professional SQA qualifications whilst undergoing rigorous vocational training aimed at enhancing their skills and competencies as they work towards becoming qualified Licenced Conveyancers.

Countrywide already run a successful Conveyancing Academy and jointly deliver the Level 4 Apprenticeship with Damar Training. Countrywide’s partnership with Damar Training also includes the delivery of the Level 6 Licensed Conveyancer Apprenticeship enhancing the development opportunities for their conveyancing colleagues. The Level 4 and Level 6 qualifications were launched at Countrywide’s Manchester and Cardiff conveyancing centres with the first Apprentices enrolled in September 2017.

Both apprenticeships are supported by the Council of Licensed Conveyancers and the Scottish Qualifications Authority.

"Whether they qualify through the apprenticeship route or by distance learning, it is great that firms regulated by the CLC are supporting more and more of their staff to attain recognition as Conveyancing or Probate Technicians or to qualify as Licensed Conveyancers and Probate Practitioners. "The achievements recognised by these four diplomas give new lawyers a great career boost, help raise standards across the industry and enhance consumer protection. We encourage all conveyancing and probate firms to consider how they would benefit by putting more of their staff through these routes to qualification."

They can use a variety of different types of evidence – which is generated while they are at work – to document their progress.”
